Job: Warehouse & Production Manager
Location: Bury St Edmunds - Suffolk
Salary: Circa £38K Depending on Experience

The Warehouse Manager will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the Supply Chain Manager in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, and production site ensuring that all service and cost targets are met or exceeded, all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to and the highest standards of customer service are maintained.


Direct reporting line into the Supply Chain Manager
Direct reporting lines - Warehouse employees up to 20 employees


Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, overseeing and coordinating the daily warehouse and production activities.
Achieve high levels of productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within the required time limits. Ensure that daily operations meet and exceed performance expectations. Adhere to all procedures to meet business requirements


Strong organisational/supervisory and time management skills, as well as good communication skills (oral and written). Planning and monitoring in line with KPI s. Good knowledge of warehousing and operations. Awareness and understanding of routine maintenance.

Holder of a clean UK driving licence holder and a counter balance & forklift licence would be an advantage!

This role will require the individual to build relationships with employees at all levels, use their initiative, and be a self-starter who has experience in working with a diverse workforce. Honesty and integrity are essential characteristics as well as the ability to deliver difficult decisions and resolve conflict in a timely manner.
Demonstrate a hands-on commitment to getting the job done whilst adhering to deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on excellence within the process for efficiency.
Capability to network with suppliers and customers. Flexible approach to cover a variety of areas within the warehouse and in accordance with shift patterns providing cover when required.

IT literate, knowledge to include Microsoft Office, in depth knowledge of on-site warehouse inventory & management systems.


Proven track record of developing and delivering quality operational services. At least 5 years warehouse supervisory and production experience. Used to working in a busy environment dealing with employment matters including, induction, appraisals and training & development. Good understanding of all relevant Health & Safety regulations. Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.
